Fan review of "Gamera the Brave" at AICN
AICN scores another first: a fan review of the new Gamera movie (Gamera the Brave), which is being described as "E.T. meets Godzilla."
Through most of the film, we watch as Gamera is raised by an innocent little boy from a regular-sized turtle to the gargantuan fighting monster he becomes by the film's finale. It's more heartwarming than adrenaline producing. That said, there's still plenty of what you came for: monster-on-monster, man-in- suit, model-crushing action.

That review doesn't make the movie sound bad at all. There's seems to be a nod to continuity with the previous Gamera trilogy - I wasn't sure, but was the Gamera suicide destruction of Gyaos shown because it sounds like pretty intense giant monster action.
Then the review mentions that, apparently, Jidas eats people. It may not be show, but apparently the giant monster battle takes out Nakoya(sp?).
I hope I get a chance in three or four years to see it.
