Here's one drawback to widescreen tapes. Assuming that you were to play both tapes on a TV of a certain size, here's how big the reletive images would look. Darth Vader looks pretty puny on the widescreen tape by comparison. You should probably have a pretty good sized TV before investing in widescreen tapes.

Vader appears to have been swallowed by the Dark Side of the force on the full-screen version.

Wow! Boy does widescreen make a difference here! The alien in the widescreen version looks totally different than the one in the full-screen version!

Okay, that's because it IS a different alien. You discovered our dirty little secret, that we used the Star Wars Special Edition for the widescreen version.
