Comments: We have a soft spot in our hearts for the family-run Network Video. When we were students at nearby Eckerd College, they gave us some really good deals on rentals. Back then, they had an employee who encouraged them to pick up art house and cult films on a regular basis. Now, though, they seem to be concentrating on top renters and new releases. Fortunately, there are some remnants of the good old days left in their catalog, and you can find some interesting stuff if you look in all the corners. Examples include Michelle Yeoh's Butterfly and Comet (albeit an older, edited version) and other obscure martial arts flicks. Our one complaint about Network is the fact that when a film is rented, its box is taken off the shelves. This means that if a movie is out, you can't even tell that they stock it. If you're looking for something in particular, it's best to ask.
